My garden is ten years old. It is situated 17 kilometres from Lawrence,a
small country town with a population of about 500 people. Lawrence is in
Otago which is a province in the lower part of the South Island of New Zealand.
Our house sits on top of a hill and so we get alot of winds - southerly and
norwest. It has been a constant battle with the wind and I have tried to create garden rooms by planting hedges and shrub walls to give some shelter and make the garden more intimate.

There was very little garden when I first came here.The climate
here is temperate. We get quite alot of rain although this year there has been a drought.We sometimes have hot summers. So hope you enjoy these shots of my garden which is constantly changing.
